During our visit to the lovely Riley & Riley Jewellers in Ipswich we took the opportunity to ask owners Mark & Tessa a few questions…

How would you describe your store in 3 words?

Contemporary, quality, approachable.

What would you say are the upcoming jewellery trends for 2015?

Rose gold, gemset jewellery and silver & gold combined.

What do you like most about Muru jewellery?

It’s stylish & fashionable and also great value for money. We love the great quality and attractive packaging too!

If you weren’t a jeweller what would you be?

(Mark) I am the lead singer in a rock covers band in my spare time and although I’m sure I don’t have the talent to have done it professionally, it might have been nice!

How would you describe your average customer?

We don’t have average customers – all of ours are exceptional!

What’s the best thing to do in your town/city? (Apart from visit your store of course!)

Stroll down the waterfront and admire the yachts followed by tea at the Salthouse Hotel. In the evening visit the New Wolsey Theatre.

What do you expect to be popular this Christmas?

Charm bracelets (still), Muru (of course!), Deco styles and rose gold and silver.

Do you have any celebrity customers?

Yes, a few. Bill Nighy shopped with us recently as has Emma Freud and even the Duchess of Kent!

What other brands do you admire?

Lovelinks, Kit Health, V-Jewellery, Pure Attraction, Sarah Jordan and our own in-house brand CREO, made on site in our Aldeburgh store.

What would you do on your perfect day off?

Relax with the family on a beach, by the pool or just at home in the garden! And just once in a while, a run out in the countryside on my motorcycle.
